The Centre for Computational Science (CCS) of University College London (UCL) is offering a fully-funded studentship to a highly motivated candidate to start in September 2020. The studentship will cover tuition fees at UK/EU rate plus a maintenance stipend of £17,285 (tax free) per annum for three years.
The post-holder will work primarily on scientific applications of HemeLB, a flexible open-source lattice-Boltzmann code for the simulation of blood flow, at the scale of the entire human body, in physiology and medicine. Coupling of HemeLB to human heart models is now underway and will form a significant aspect of this research. The post-holder will be expected to use state of the art supercomputers and contribute to code optimisation on emerging exascale platforms.
